Available designs:
  • Mirabile: These placemats are embroidered in champagne cream and gold threads and are based on both Folio 19v and 16v from the Book of Kells.
  • Pavo: The exquisite decoration on these placemats is a combination of Folios 34r, 16v and 130r in the Book of Kells. The peacock symbol is used to represent the incorruptible nature of Christ.
  • Semita: Based on Folio 19v from the Breves causae and from the Chi-Rho page in the Book of Kells.
  • Vitae: Embroidered using detail from Folio 29r in the Book of Kells, and a pattern of flowing ribbon interlace which echoes the stone carvings found on crosses.
